was sent some chilli seeds from a grower but they didnt seem dry im not sure how to dry these seeds out do i just wrap in paper and leave in a dry place?

and also how long until i can germinate?

Hi Growman, I just keep my chilli seeds on kitchen towel until they are dry, then either keep on the towel, or take of and put into little paper bags (don't forget to lable them!)

I don't have much room to germinate things in the house, and my greenhouses are not heated, so I won't be germinating them until sometime in February, probably the latter part of Feb.

Aidy is our resident Chilli expert though!!!!

yep good advice from Grannie Annie, just keep them dry, I normally start end of feb into march, you can leave it until mid march and they will catch up quickly. Chilli seeds will keep for around 4-5 years. Some will take upto 2 weeks or more to germinate so dont worry if they take a while to show.

thanks for your help they seem really dry will leave them a few more days then bag them and label them

paper bags not plastic .put them in a bag n pop in airing cupboard to finish drying label and dont mix with underpants  :oops:
