What about some pictures?
« on: April 07, 2007, 23:22 »
I thought a thread of pictures of folk's plots would be fun.

I need to take an up to date one to add... but in the meantime....

this is me relaxing in my greenhouse a couple of years ago.....

My children hate that hat BTW.  Got called "the flowerpot lady" by some of their friends when I wore it out once!    !
Sally (N.Ireland) Organic as far as I know!

Plant plenty.  Celebrate success.  (Let selective memory deal with the rest.)

My plot is in my back garden, hoping to expand to an allotment sometime in the next two years.
This is the main plot, got salad stuff at the front, then peas (4 are poking their heads up today, first new growth this year, yea!), then raspberries, strawberries and then carrots and brocoli (which will move to the other bed in the summer when it is finished (the broc that is, not the carrots!).

The second plot is still a work in progress!  But hope to have half of it dug over tomorrow and then put in some early spuds followed by main crop.  The second half hopefully will be enough for some brussels and sprouting brocoli, if not then I am going to borrow some space at a friends allotment.

Cleverly disguised as a responsible adult.

Couple of piccies from our B&B website. Taken in late autumn last year.  Sadly, the thing at the bottom of the garden is not a polytunnel.

Yup thanks, that has been Home Sweet Home for 3 days short of 21 years.  Lucky we bought it when we did 'cos we couldn't afford to buy it now!

My birds eye one was done from a plane.....but the cameras are so good they can pinpoint your house etc and get a clear pic.

That is a lovely picture... just embodies that "feeling" (of some hard graft followed by relaxing and enjoying the surroundings)

Let's see if I can get this one right!

My veg patch in 2005 before the poly was over the tunnel, and a pic of the completed polytunnel!

Fingers crossed!!!!

Thanks for the comments on my greenhouse pic... it's one of the few photos with me in it that I like!

Here's a couple more... the greenhouse this evening (and rasberries with their hay mulch in the foreground, rhubarb under hay on right).

Looking back the other way... (house on left of pic)

And the beds on the other side of the house.  These beds started with cardboard and compost over the grass... hay also mulching round the peas (foreground) and spuds (far bed)

It is fun to get a nosy at other folks space.  Thanks for sharing.

I'd love an arial shot.  Google earth is rather blurry still!
