Doesn't it just break your heart.  Little Honey is getting the very best of everything, and only yesterday they were reporting on the television that at Battersea they were having to put down one in three healthy dogs because they were too dangerous to be rehomed.  Why - because some evil human b******* have made them that way.  No dog starts out being nasty their ways are taught and I'd like 5 minutes and a cattle prod wired up to 20,000 volts with their tormentors.

Rant over, but could continue.

Just to let you know the latest - took Honey out for her first proper walk last night and she loved it.  The stitches are finally healing well and the itching has subsided substantially but still a little sore. Stitches out Friday all being well.

Been in tears reading this, brings back memories of sleeping on the floor with my old rough collie, old age got her in the end, it was a difficult decision but the final thing I could do for her. Had a various dogs since then but she was the one.
So pleased that everythings looking good for honey, be positive and don't show her you're worrying, I'm sure they respond to our emotions.

There's always one.  I lost a beautiful black lab bitch 3 1/2 years ago and can't say I have ever really come to terms with her death even though she was 16.  I had dogs before and, have since, and now have a golden lab but cannot bond like I did with Kate.  She was that once in a lifetime dog, soulmate, and I swear she could read my mind.
