jam jars
« on: February 17, 2014, 09:35 »
just got some extra jam jars so I can start to get the rhubarb chutney stuff together , daughter was looking on ebay for me but a friend over the road had been collecting some for me so that's great , they soon go down when you give jam away you never get the jar back .

Tape your name, address or phone number on the jar along with Please Return Empty Jar.

If the recipients can read, you might get lucky  ;)

Now why would I have thought this thread was about cars?  ::)

Gosh my leg aches with all that pulling.

Quite a relief really as I thought it was rising damp at first.  ;)

I was running short of mason jars so put the call out to some friends.  Many dozens started rolling in and OH was panicking wondering what we'd do with them.

Those jars have long been filled and I'm still collecting and buying more (from thrift shops) to fill. Right now I have about 600 jars filled with bottled and vacuum sealed foods, and have about 12 dozen empty jars on the shelves and need more. OH walks around moaning - not more jars!!  :D

Lots of mason jars are much like having lots of money - there's no such thing as too much/many.  8)
