Our boy used to love carrots. :) The collie thinks vegetables are beneath her.  :nowink:

Bless... I've got a wee border at home - he's 6 now - how the time flies!! Regarding GPS, I could never find one small enough but if you can - get one!

Wee Brodie is doomed to a life on the lead after his last escapade in a large forest... got the scent of a deer, high-tailed it and ended up in a police kennel after someone handed him in (had managed to lose his collar with ID tag, luckily he's been chipped). Was a very traumatic 6 hours as of course I imagined the worst... nope, just over £70 to get the wee escape artist back!

Such a wee character, wouldn't be without him... but boy, he can find the smallest hole in a fence and be away before you know it!!!

Hi DG - wish I'd known you had a border terrier as I'd have been picking your brains !

What an ordeal that will have been and thank goodness someone got him and he was chipped.  I can honestly say i know how you will have felt as both my old dogs (not BTs) had a couple of long awol moments.  I've met more than a few owners with similar stories to tell and the thought does fill me with dread  :(

I hope it's ok that I laughed when I read that Brodie is now six ..... everybody I've spoken to has said ' they're great dogs when they're 6"!

Like Brodie, Ella is definitely a character and a half.  She just makes me smile, even when her brain has turned to chocolate ...  :D. You've just reminded me that the extra roll of chicken wire still lying in the garden  - supposedly to raise the waist high bit of the garden fence - is still a job not done !

Ah yes, and the thinking they're a big dog thing. We also have a flatcoat retriever (big and daft)... yes, wee Brodie rules the roost. If he wants Harley to chase him he knows he just has to nick his ball and prance around in front of him for a couple of seconds - Harley falls for it every time  :D Brodie also has to drink out of the water bowl first, Harley can just wait his turn. Love having 2 such different dogs, they provide hours of entertainment

A wee update before Christmas ...

Our Ella has been in her first season over the last few weeks, so it's been dog-less walks and no training class.  For a little sociable pup, it's been quite confusing really.  Her off lead walking has come to a halt, so it'll be back to basics in earnest from now on ... In the middle of pheasant season ...

Our last camping trip til after Christmas .... A blowy loch lomondside ....

Ell's campsite ...  Just us

No dogs (which was good, though pup won't agree)  and no people ... A rare treat, indeed,  to have the lochside all to ourselves  :D

Santa came early for Ell, not that she knows what that is all about  :D. But, she did know she had missed her best friend, and yesterday he came to say hello again  ...... :D :D :D

Little and large ....

I've no idea what they are discussing here ...

And here, I can only hope she only does this with Blue .... I quite like Ella with a head   8) .....

Ell and her big, canny polar bear called Blue..... Santa and his elf  ;)

Happy Christmas from Ella .... X
