I went to the west Scottish highlands and nailed the one dry and sunny week. Here are some lovely photos of loch Hourn and Knoydart.
I picked the wrong time of year to travel long distance by train. Engineering work between Glasgow and Carlisle closed the west coast main line. Major work at Kings Cross disrupted services along the east coast main line. London Victoria station closed. Rather than pay well over £100 for a rail ticket I got a coach from Glasgow to London followed by tube and two trains home.

Lovely photos al78, it truly is a wonderful area of our country, it’s a shame people feel the need to jet off to sunnier climbs but then it leaves it available for those of us that like a bit of space lol
