Now as we all know puppies take time to settle in and get used to there new surroundings and goings ons.
They moan and groan, whimper and cry they miss all there old mates. What we didn't realise was the same was happening with baileys old room mate at the breeders house!!
This was found out after a phone call from wife to breeder to say how much we love bailey  :) :)
To our complete surprise the breeder suggested we adopt baileys old room mate Sebastian (Basil) so they can be together again. Now Basil is one of her stud dogs and we feel very privileged to be allowed to have him (breeder will have him back when time comes for him to perform his basset boy dog duties).
All I can say is that we now have two very very happy bassets and two very very happy taytors :) :) :) :)
As for the cats they just think Archie and phoebe have come back
Good job I fenced off the veg garden two bassets in full play mode is a lovely thing to see but woe betide what gets in there way!! its got no chance

Will you have a built in holiday sitter for them when you go away?  That would really put the icing on the cake.   ;)

Having been such a long time since the puppy stage with arch and phoeb its come as a bit of a force ten gale reminder with bailey and basil. The better half as spent all day telling them that not everything in the house belongs to them and theve spent all day thinking that everything does :) :) :) :)
Number one in the basset rule book : If i see it its mine.
These two are giving us lots and lots of headaches, sleepless nights and exhaustion but also lots and lots of pleasure, fun, excitement, love and very very big smily faces :) :) :) :)
As im writing this the better half (who was so looking forward to a day off today) is spark out on the sofa with both dogs sleeping nearby :) :)
And yes ANHBUC the breeder as said that she will look after them both if we go away and cant take them with us :)
