100 packets

I thought I was bad having about 20ish packs and most of them have been freebies from things like magazines and John's book.

I'm also planning to save as many as I can this year for the following season, thats why I avoid f1.

Well last night I spent a couple of hours going through my box of seeds (much better than celebrating new year).

I threw away 16 packets that were just too old. I had left

92 packs of veg/herb seeds
38 packs flower seeds

I currently have about 20 selections from catalogues that I will be buying and I'm sure that a few more will slip in along the way  :D My husband just gives me the look every time I buy another packet

Thanks for the 'moreveg' heads up PB.  I hadn't come across them before and am interested in their pilosophy of buying only what you need and not wasting so much.  Am currently debating who to put my seed order thro with and am shocked at how much prices have gone up     :?

I started counting my seed packets but got nervous after a while and stopped!
Please do no post any more good seed companies.
I must only buy seed potatoes this year - NO MORE SEEDS!!

I'm not sure if I got a £5 voucher in my t&m catalogue, and I have thrown away most of the extra bits of paper during my post Christmas clear out. Have you got any details of it??

Cheers

I told you someone needed to stop me. I have used my T&M £5 voucher to order seeds and I have just placed a Real Seeds order. I also have a DT Brown order sitting waiting to be made.

I seriously need help!!!

I didn't get a five pound voucher this year either.  I'm gonna have to buy one packet of seeds at least though cos I want to get the 84 plugs of busy lizzie 'accent' as I had last year.  Special price when make an order of 4.99 think it is.  They really make a great display.

I think I'm the only one who doesn't have a T&M catalogue and £5 voucher.  I already have most of the seeds in a tin from last year.  I only wanted to get a tomato packet and a climbing french beans packet.  I'm a bit of a skin flint and shop around.

I got the tomato 'Legend' which is apparently resistant to blight which I really need on my plot, I've got one of those mini greenhouse things to keep them in so I've got all my fingers and toes cross they won't be destroyed this year.

I got the french bean 'Cobra' which is apparently not a bad one to try.  I'm still new at this but I liked the dwarf french beans I once grew before.

I`ve got (to me) tons of seeds, most of which i might not get around to growing this yr, and yes it does get quite adictive, i eman i ain`t even finihsed the allotment yet, and i keep looking to see what seeds there is to buy, think it like cause there`s so many, and well we like to experiment that`s what makes it so good, you don`t just have 1 or 2 varieties you have like 30 or more
