I hate thinning out - I feel like I'm murdering my poor little seedlings.

Val pointed out to me that 100 tomato plants might be a few too many....

I've never done sweetcorn in a greenhouse but I get fair results by keeping them under cloche until they grow too big for them.

I've got over 200 tomatoes coming up, but I'm hoping to sell some of them out the front when they are big enough, along with some of the other things I'm growing.

I tried sweetcorn for the first time last year, and although the results weren't huge, they were lovely.  How many cobs do you normally get on each plant?

1 or 2 - depends on variety and luck!

Good luck selling the tomato plants - maybe more money in doing a Hugh Fearnly Whittingstall  (hope that's right) and selling hime made tomato chutney and ketchup.

Yes John, OH keeps telling me that I should be more like Hugh F-W and selling pigeon pitta pickets and bunny burgers!!!! lol

I make a mean pasta sauce, but haven't as yet made any chutney.  I was going to with the green tomatoes I froze last year, but they were lost when the big freezer went down!!!
