Winter brassicas
« on: September 23, 2012, 16:50 »
Whilst having a mosey around the garden centre, I found some 'winter brassicas', 9 each of spring cabbage, purple sprouting broccoli and calabrese. It's a bit late to ask this question as its already been planted, but will calabrese be ok overwinter? It's in a fairly sheltered spot

Phew! Thought I had wasted some time and money again.
I have covered them all to protect them from the flying rats but I did the same last year and they still got to my cabbages
