Title: Winter hardy Brassicas

You may have seen breakfast TV earlier last week, with farmers showing the devastation to their fields of Winter cauliflowers, due to the hard Winter.
My Winter brassicas are in reasonable shape apart from Jagallo Nero( the jagged form of Cavello Nero) which is obviously not hardy.
My other Kales, Ragged Jack and dwarf curly Kale are fine. Likewise, my Brussels are late but are now producing.
The only Winter cauliflower that I have success with is Purple Cape which is looking very happy with life. This old fashioned variety looks as if it is related to purple sprouting, as it has a larger central purple floret, which should head in April here in the North.

Any other suggestions for really hardy brassicas that have survived the last two Winters?

January king late stock  cabbage I cut one today and still got 2 left.
They are getting a bit sluggy now though, but have stood through all the weather :)

I've still got three Christmas Drumhead cabbages which is supposed to be an autumn/early winter variety. They look healthy enough but will have to come out soon as I need the space.

Cabbage Bloemandaalse Gele - open savoy head, slightly pointed - is the star of our Winter Brassica plot this year. Savoy Type Helene is doing well and kale cavallo Nero is still producing tasty leaves, but has just started to throw up seed heads this week.

All my kales are doing well apart from the ones that I started earlier last year and had taken a cutting from (cut and come again that sadly won't be coming again)-
The Russian Kale looks partic good.
The rest are: Nero di Toscana, Pentland Brig, Hungry Gap, Blue Curled Kale... all putting on a nice growth spurt now.

I must be really lucky. I have summer quick heading calabrese, still throwing the occasional (tiny) spear, and greyhound cabbage that have survived the winter!

Gotta love tropical Blackpool huh? :D
