bought some some oxtail yesterday (havnt had it for years)
went down the plot this morning picked some parsnips/celery/carrots/a swede and a few leeks got a couple of onions out of the shed.and at this very moment its all simmering away.i keep popping outside and comming back in again for a good wiff of it mmmm
have to pop out and get some suet for the dumplings though  :wink:
feed the soil not the plants

it isgood old fashioned grub that mate we have to ask for it here ,i fry it off to brown it  and then simmer for n hour with all them goodies plus some country mixed dried peas lentils n the like n then 6 gert big floaters  with stuffing centres ,,
still alive /............

i have used it many years ago as glue .found a tin in a shed my dad left .i had to put a heat under it to soften it  :lol:

I can well imagine. In fact I make potato pie like my nan made and that sets hard if there's any left. Not like coweel but solid like. you know.

Edit: In case anyone noticed I really messed up that post just then, corrected now.
