incidently take ya spuds n parboil em in the skins ,peel skin off when cold scratch with fork dip in paprika, dip in warm goose fat n stick in freezer for 30 mins in a baking tray cto hill fat ya see  make sure ya ovens red hot put some more goose fat in bottom pan n stick on middle shelf check in 25 mins and re do fat over em dribbling it . try doing this afore Christmas dinner si u get it done ok .then when ya serves em make sure the tureen is warmed afore ya drop em in it sprinkle a little sea salt over em then serve and ten have ya self a

I'm doing venison this year, but  on Boxing day as Im off to the inlaws for Christmas lunch..   Can't believe I used to be a veggie - only 6 months ago.  I had game pie last night was delish.    :D

Down to Norfolk. 80 yr old mother insists on sitting the family down and cooking the whole turkey shebang for us. Me and bro do the washing up. Thinking of taking some sprouts from the plot down if we get a frost in time. Would have taken some parsnips for roasting, but regulars on the site will remember me discovering I'd planted turnips instead. :oops:
