Title: Goosberry bush
Post by: oliviahelen on September 20, 2008, 07:56
I bought a goosberry earlier in the year, stuck it in a pot and waited! It's now growing well, with several stems, but I have no idea what to do with it, when and if, it will produce do I need to prune or shelter it etc etc. Can anyone help please - silly question, I know someone will!!

You treat a gooseberry bush exactly the same way you treat a redcurrant bush.  Here is a link to some really good instructions on soft-fruit.co.uk (http://www.soft-fruit.co.uk/currants/redcurrants-and-whitecurrants-top-tips-for-successful-growing/) that I saw the other day.
