Title: Fruit Booze
Post by: Steeple Sam on July 26, 2009, 17:10

Greetings fellow growers,

I have just stumbled across your site and registered.

We seem to have been blessed with massive quantities of fruit this year, cherries, plums(Vic),apples, blackberries.

Planning my annual homemade booze journey my usual recipe is 1/3 Fruit,1/3 Sugar,1/3 alcohol, and the addition of a little almond or vanilla essence-bootiful.

However with plums the results have been poor. I always remove skin and stone before bottling.

Any thoughts?

Cheers,
Steeple Sam.

we tried plum last year and where told to put barley init, the result was a dissapointment to say the least,
I think the barley gave it to much body.
