 :)Hi All,

Thought the forum needed some good news! For the last week or so Buffy has not eaten any eggs!!!! Apart from on 2 days the shells have all been reasonably firm. Wow, my egg holder is full.

Also I feel that I am winning on the rat front at the moment too! I discovered that they have found a way to get onto my chicken feeder which is hanging fairly high off the ground, not quite sure how they do it but I think they are taking a running jump off a bank of earth and then hanging on, I noticed the feeder swinging one evening when the hens were out of the hen pen. I have moved it to a different location and a bit higher still and have taken it in at 7pm. Also given them some tasty new poison to eat. My neighbour found a huge dead rat under her hen pen so it must be working!!! Tee hee.

I really hope everyone with poorly chickens etc luck turns too!

Thoght mine were seg eatng but it turnedout to be Magpies      unfortunately they left broken egs all over the p[lace and my girls loved it  tooa scare crow and a wee or so to sort it but all wel now , so your luck isrubbing off taaa .
