Title: how much to charge per chain
Post by: rowlandwells on February 15, 2011, 19:50
does anyone know how much it cost's to lay hedges these days i always do a bit of hedge laying in the winter but i never charge my farmer friend because i have other things off him like manure fertilizer  :)

but if anyone asks me to do any hedgelaying i don't know what to charge them as i only do small amount each year just to keep me hands on but i would be interested in what the going rate is per chain layed

Last year (or the year before?) i asked a hedgelayer how he charged for laying a hedge. I feel sure he told me, by the hour and stakes etc were added on to it. Generally about £15-£20 per hour for labour.
