Title: Flowers falling off chillies

My jalapeño and Hungarian hot wax chillies are flowering no problem. But then it all seems to go wrong. Either the flowers go brown and die leaving the immature fruit behind them then that falls off or, in most cases, the flower and stalk fall off altogether. What causes this?

lack of pollination or over/under watering

a few of my chillies fell off when they were immature. now seem to be ok. i put mine down to lack of pollination as the marrows seem to do the same for the first fruits.
