I have a packet of Leek seeds and was wondering

1. When is the best time to pot the seeds,

2. When is  the latest month they have to be transplanted outside?

I will be putting the seeds in toilet roles then transplanting to the raised bed.

3. Do I put the seed just below the soil or do they have to be further down?

Finally

4. How many seeds per toilet role would you suggest

5. When should I take the weaker seedlings out so I have only the one in the tube?

You've missed the start for early leeks but if you plant some now, you can get later leeks.

2 seeds / roll, cover lightly with compost or perlite and water. When they're 2-3" tall you can decide which to take out and transplant elsewhere or toss. And all can go outside by end of May/early june.

I can't believe I forgot about this video I watched it a few months back  thanks for the other advice will get the seeds in a planter tomorrow.
