What is the best,quickest,easiest way to prepare runners for eating,is there a gadget which helps?

pick em small  before they get stringy and snap em into 1 inch pieces and then boil or steam which is better ,,,,,,,,,,,,,

you can cook em in the micro wave with a tight lid cos then they only need a bit of water and minimum cooking. The flavour is gorgeous so no overcooking please  :D

I can't wait to snap me first Painted Lady runner bean of the year.  Mine are a bit slow this year but worth waiting for hopefully.

Pick them young they should feel nice and firm but without any large beans in them.  Look at the picture on the bean packet.
