Christmas Toms
« on: December 24, 2021, 16:37 »
When the toms in the GH were coming to an end I removed and potted up a few side shoots and put them on a west-facing bedroom window in Sheffield.
They went mad and soon flowered and fruits growing.
Today I have picked half a pound of nice red toms for my Christmas tea. still got a few to ripen too.

Fantastic, I’d hoped some cucumbers would last but they were bitter tasting.

Brilliant idea.  I must try this next year as supermarket tomatoes are such a disappointment after having been used to our own.  My husband has been spoiled and totally refuses to eat tomatoes until we have some ripe in the greenhouse again.
