Happy New Year everyone. And thanks for all your advice throughout the year.
I salvaged what I could of the rest of my leeks (attacked by leek moth or the miner thingy - the insect doing the damage is brown). I read an article where they said to dispose of the infested leeks in the council composte facility (not possible) or bury them deeply. Any idea how deep this should be? Would this effectively kill them? And dig over the soil to expose any remaining pests to the elements.

Just chuck them into a black bin liner and throw out with regular rubbish
