Post by: DellDGM on November 07, 2008, 01:08
Hi guys, I have been awol for a while now (long winter with sick kids) but the sun is shining and spring is here and I finally have a second to get back on.

I need help, I have my vegeie patch is in crisis.  I am fighting a loosing battle with grass, it is taking over,  I can't keep up with weeding it as fast as it is growing.  I Puull all the grass out and is comes back stronger and thicker, it is nearly in need of a mower.  Any and all suggestions would be appreciated for eradicating this couch grass.  I would prefer organic but I am so fustrated now that i am willing to considter other options.

I have heard salt water poured over the garden??? does this work?

Hi Dell,

Nice to have you back.

You may wish to consider, if you're at the end of your tether, a glysophate based weedkiller such as "Roundup".

Not having the instructions in front of me I did a quick Google.

The consensus is 7 to 14 days.
