George's shed!
« on: October 21, 2009, 11:26 »
Thought some of you might like to see George's new shed.
He's a retired builder with lots of 'stuff' stashed away!
His old shed is an old pig sty, which tends to suit George's lack of tidiness :)
He's building the new shed round his old one; the theory being to remove the old one when the new one is complete!
You can see the old shed door in the pic, and he intends to have full cooking facilities!

Respect!
Self-sufficient in rasberries and bindweed. Slug pellets can be handy.

Blimey!    What a mess! :nowink:
Is that on an allotment?  Hope not...

Sorry A. Fallowfield, oh, and George of course, but that's just a pile of unattractive rubbish to my eye.....
Most definitely not a shed either. It's the size of a small house, and would seem to include a kitchen.
Is there a definitive legal ruling that separates sheds from dwellings or temporary houses?

Might look better finished :D
There are no hard and fast rules on sheds on our lotties, but many people have expressed similar views to yours!
George is a bit of a one off, and a long time plotter and outspoken commitee member!
My shed is 5x5, so not in the same class :nowink:

Thank goodness!  :) I was worried I'd upset you.
Glad I don't seem to have.  ;)

A lot closer than you think!
He's there dawn to dusk most days; even when his wife did her ankle in recently, he walked the dog, took her breakfast and a commode, then went to his lottie!

Can't believe that eyesore

It comes close to breaching planning in my view; it's clearly not a shed for allotment use.
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...

When he is mostly done - it will never be finished - can you post the 'after' picture?  Just to give the boys something to aspire to?   :D

Definitely, he'll finish it, never fear! He's already sorting which glass door he's over-wintering his summer flowers next to!
He's one of the best, if someone says they've a shed or greenhouse, he'll collect it in his picklup and help you assemble it!
