Gooseberry Champagne
« on: January 15, 2011, 15:45 »
Just wanted to share this bit of success.  Made two gallons of gooseberry wine in 2009, bottled 2010. It was really dry and tasted like unripe gooseberries but was really clear and looked great.  I added some concentrated grape from a tin and bottled.  Result? Great tasting (but a little explosive!) Gooseberry Champagne that saw us thro Christmas and the New Year, hic! ;)  Thoroughly recommended !!
