Vet recommendation
« on: October 30, 2008, 10:35 »
Hi All,

Can anyone recommend a qualified vet that know what they are doing concerning poultry around the South Yorkshire area ?

I was reading about one around a month ago that a member recommended, have done a search but can’t find it.

I have a 24 week old speckled Maran looks like she has been pecked in the eye and it’s quite swollen, so she needs a good poultry vet.

Any recommendations or help gratefully received

Thanks

I know it is North Yorkshire but Minster vets in York have a qualified poultry man.
Experience is what you get when you didn't get what you wanted!!

Thanks Vember

Have checked the list on your link, the local qualified vet in Sheffield retired last year (just my luck).

I have just rang a local poultry breeder and they use Minister Vets also Sassy so I guess it’s a run up there.

Thanks again

I have spoken to Sarah at Minster vets and she is sending some medication to me so I can treat the Maran,

Fingers crossed it will sort her eye out, thanks for the recommendations, I feel a lot less stressed now she is sorted and knowing theirs a poultry vet I can go to with confidence.

Thanks
