Can anyone suggest a Maincrop variety of Peas?
I will be growing them to freeze.
last year i grew Kelvedon Wonder and my crop was abysmal.
99% Organic and 1% Slug Pellets.

Allotment holder since 27th May 2007.

I was going to say Kelvedon Wonder.

I suspect something other than the variety may be the cause of your poor crop.
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

Onward for me.
I'm very important. I have many leather-bound books and my apartment smells of rich mahogany.

I got some Kelvedon Wonder from a seed supplier on the market and 90% grew into
mangetout :( hehe

Those that were left were good croppers and tastey though hehe

Might pick my suppliers better next time
I hate signatures but love irony

Having spent last night & this morning shelling dried peas, I'm pleased to find that this year I'm able to grow purely my own saved heritage peas.  It's been a few years wait from the original 30, but I think it's going to be worth it!
