Strange year on the plot
« on: August 05, 2021, 16:01 »
One of my Purple Sprouting Broccoli 'Early Purple Sprouting' is producing a head; this shouldn't happen until late winter/early spring. Is it because of the strange year that it has been or has there been a mix up with the seeds?

Also my Raspberries are still going strong; they are usually completely over before the end of July. It has been such a bumper crop that I have had to buy an additional chest freezer  It has probably been my best year ever for soft fruit!

It's not uncommeon for it to happen sometimes.  Could be many reasons, eg insect damage, got knocked (brocken roots), weather, odd plant.  It is annoying though.

Good news on the raspberries.
