I dropped and replastered the sitting room ceiling back in 2015, today I finally painted it, it had been on 'the list' for a while    Typically the large bay window shows every defect in my plastering so it may take another 7 years for me to get the filler out and feather them in.

My mums been waiting 38 years for a new front door to be fitted by the council,finally got it done beginning of this year except the work men took the door off put a new wooden frame in then refitted the original door,we now have better air flow the gaps bigger between the door and frame,apparently it was only a temporary measure as the frame is being replaced next month with a plastic one  hope fully a new door as well   jezza

Well Tony, good luck with that !     I have this week had a man in to decorate the kitchen and hallway.
Having emptied out the kitchen and piled it into the dining room.  Have put it all back, nearly, this morning and a least scrubbed the kitchen floor.   Stripped and remade the bed, done a bit in the garden.   Now a cuppa, sit down and the paper to read for a laugh if one has a very warped sense of humour !!
The rooms do look lovely now, so I am pleased.  No gain without pain.   Mrs Bouquet

I still miss sitting on our downstairs loo and bending over and looking left underneath the front door!
The double glazed front door has now been in for about eight years and has made such a difference.

I wish someone would tell my back and neck that ! I know it's been a while since I did anything physical but I've hardly been able to move over the past 3 days  It's not looking good for the filler any time soon
