...and it only took me 7 years.
« on: August 26, 2022, 18:15 »
I dropped and replastered the sitting room ceiling back in 2015, today I finally painted it, it had been on 'the list' for a while  :nowink:  Typically the large bay window shows every defect in my plastering so it may take another 7 years for me to get the filler out and feather them in.  :blush:

My mums been waiting 38 years for a new front door to be fitted by the council,finally got it done beginning of this year except the work men took the door off put a new wooden frame in then refitted the original door,we now have better air flow the gaps bigger between the door and frame,apparently it was only a temporary measure as the frame is being replaced next month with a plastic one  hope fully a new door as well   jezza

That's the trouble with you Lardman, you are just too spontanious!

Took me 17 years to paint the garage doors...

Cheers,  Tony ::)

Well Tony, good luck with that !     I have this week had a man in to decorate the kitchen and hallway.
Having emptied out the kitchen and piled it into the dining room.  Have put it all back, nearly, this morning and a least scrubbed the kitchen floor.   Stripped and remade the bed, done a bit in the garden.   Now a cuppa, sit down and the paper to read for a laugh if one has a very warped sense of humour !!
The rooms do look lovely now, so I am pleased.  No gain without pain.   Mrs Bouquet

I still miss sitting on our downstairs loo and bending over and looking left underneath the front door! :nowink:
The double glazed front door has now been in for about eight years and has made such a difference.

I wish someone would tell my back and neck that ! I know it's been a while since I did anything physical but I've hardly been able to move over the past 3 days  :ohmy: It's not looking good for the filler any time soon  :nowink:
