T&M Blight Resistant Tomatoes - Mountain Magic

T&M's latest catalogue has just dropped on my doormat and I see they've got a blight resistant tomato (Mountain Magic) for sale at 5 seeds for Ł3.99. I assume that this is the trial tom given away in last year's GW free tom seed offer/trial?

If they are the same seeds i did in their trial, i was not impressed enough to pay 80p per seed. If my memory is right, only 3 from 8 seeds germinated. I will stick with Harbinger in the greenhouse.

I'm going to grow both Mountain Magic and Crimson Crush at the allotment (as well as a couple of other varieties to compare blight). It wasn't until after I'd paid for the seeds that I realised there were only five in the packet. I grew Crimson Crush (from plants) last year and wasn't overly impressed but nothing else survives blight outside at the allotment.

I do hope they are not those trialled last year as I also was not impressed.. a distinct lack of flavour although it didn't succumb to blight. However a plot holder nearby grew Crimson Crush and they were a good sized, tasty "everyday" tomato, and true enough survived through until the end of September before showing any signs of blight.Others had long gone
