Feeding problem
« on: September 03, 2021, 10:29 »
I have been keeping chickens for 14 years, only a small group of 4-6.  I have fed them layers pellets from the Small Holder Range very successfully all this time, but suddenly they are reluctant to eat it.  Does anyone else have this problem?  Or can anyone give advice on this?

I don’t use them myself, but have you checked the pellets to make sure there are no off smells or any infestation by pests?  If they have got damp at any stage (perhaps before you bought them) they may be musty or mouldy.

If they seem OK, perhaps the formulation has changed?
