Title: chopping off strawberry runners
Post by: Snap Dragon on July 13, 2008, 19:50
My strawbs only went in this year so I do not need any more yet.

They are now putting out runners so is it best to just chop them all off?

They are giving us some gorgeous, really tasty strawbs (more than I ever expected from new plants) but I would hate them to waste their energy elsewhere!

Give 'em the chop!

If you don't want them, they'll be more work later digging them out.
