Sharpe (our hero).
« on: February 04, 2023, 12:45 »
Well that's another episode of Sharpe coming to a close on Saturday morning.  I must have watched and enjoyed Sharpe repeats countless times, but I've only seen his run-in with Tippoo Sultan in the Indian sub continent once.

Funny that, aint it?

I'm glueing up frames for the bee hive and lacking space in the shed I have to glue up a couple and then wait a while.  But now watching "Wartime Farm" Ruth has hust got an electric iron.  I remember 'me Mam' ironing with acouple of irons heated on the fire turn and turn about.  She had a thin guage polished  'overshoe' which the iron sat on and was held in place with a clip from the pointy bit to the rear.  Funnilly I've seen countless irons of this type in antique shops but never the overshoe.
Funny that aint it!

Cheers,  Tony.

I love Sharpe and have the boxed set.
I work very hard so don't expect me to think as well.
