One of those days  ::)

I was planning a quiet day and a spicy bean and chicken stew for tea over rice.  Then elderly neighbour rang as her online shopping was lacking items she needed.  Then elderly mother rang and her TV had gone kaput.  We had to go buy a new one and set it up for her.

Stew finally got made, but too late for tea, so we ended up with takeaway.  Stew now in fridge for tomorrow  :lol:

The mince didn't defrost in time and I ended up with a nuked spud and beans yesterday.  I need a real meal today, the plan is for cottage pie, cabbage and carrots as the fresh ones I bought before the holiday are going rubbery.

I actually remembered to get a lamb steak out of the freezer last night, so it's defrosted in time for dinner.
Also ftf Brussels, peas, and cauliflower cheese to go with it
