Unpleasant, 28c upstairs all night.  and still that now.

It seemed less humid and quite nice at 8am but now it's hot as hell and am staying in unless I have to go outside.

24 riing to 26c but a little bit hazy.  The wind is ESE, but it is not very blowy.    It is 29c in my kitchen, and the noise is driving me mad !!!!

It was bearable until about 11am and after that it was hide under the sunshade on the patio.  Watering heavily - but moving a sprinkler in the dark is not as easy as in the day. They call me the midnight waterer (with apologies to the Rolling Stones)

Still too hot. 27c no cloud and very still; there's no air movement at all today.

Lovely and sunny with a slight breeze cooling things down a bit 

Plants in the garden borders are beginning to look a bit crispy, so I'll have to get the hose out later, I was rather hoping the thunderstorms would get here before I had to

The most scorchio day we've had so far and it's around 29C. Strangely it's a bit cooler in my little greenhouse with the jungle of sweet corn and tom leaves and white shading paint on the outside glass but I've given it a good damping down anyway.

29C is today's max (again) - clouded up somewhat now and I can see a couple of thunderstorms have formed just to the south of us, heading in the Coventry/Birmingham direction if they last that long...

Definitely had enough too, although the sweetcorn has loved it (6' tall without the tassels, which are just forming on one or two of them, probably just in time to get drenched by the forecast thunderstorms.  )

Too hot overnight again (28c) but feels a bit better outside this morning, slight breeze so I've opened everything up in an attempt to get some fresher air in. Every time I check the forecast the rain has moved a few hours further away  It really needs a good soaking to take the edge of things now.

Cooler here this morning with a breeze, which is far preferable to the hot airless feel we have had. 

Our rain is predicted for the early hours of tomorrow morning followed by the end of the world.  Well maybe not that bad, but storm, torrential rain and flash flooding warnings have been issued

It's coming to the end, or maybe just a welcome break. Phew!
The misters have been holding the polytunnel temperatures to tolerable but that's not really a solution for inside the house!

ENE winds, and the washing is spinning on the line.  the sky is white it was 23 earlier but up to 25 now.
