yesterday darn cold but dry today quite sunny and dry really made one feel like doing something outdoors or in the greenhouse still cold nights plenty of logs on the fire [keep the home fires burning]

Yesterday was supposed to be very rainy. Hmm - that would be why there was a period when the sun looked out and then went away. Not particularly warm. Looks to be more of the same for the week with wind thrown in.

Bit warmer this morning at 6ºC but damp and drizzle. Calm at the moment but the wind is due to pick up later.

The high winds are in our forecast for Weds and Thurs - something to look forward to

Obviously, because I'm still working at the moment, my times at the allotment are very precious, so I can't wait to spend Friday, Saturday and Sunday down there . . . in my snorkel and flippers!

Calmer now but it's been a wild night. Really storming. Near 2 inches of rain overnight. Still wet and grey but at least the wind's gone down for the moment.

Very, very windy but no rain as yet.

It's 6C, grey, drizzly and the wind is getting up now as forecast, so I've just been out to clamp the big greenhouse doors shut

Getting windier and the rain is getting heavier, it has been raining on and off all day. Not looking forward to the journey up the Milly tomorrow as in places it is very exposed and we have been blown across the road before  now.

The winds were incredible at 5am here - real 'pull the duvet up' stuff.

No puddles and calm now although what the day will bring on is another thing.
