Festively tipping it down!

Diving over to daught's village yesterday, near Marden (Kent), a field had flooded, and water was flowing over the road! I watched to see if a chap coming the other way was getting through and he did OK, so a nervous dip into the lake proved OK in first gear at full revs.

The last time I did that (2000), near Smarden (another Kent village), I didn't get out the other side and wrote the car off, so add that little tidbit to the disaster on 'What's for tea', and you'll now have the full picture!

Chucking it down on the south coast.  For the first time since we've had her our staffie dug her heels in and refused to go for a walk (no complaints from husband).  She's now settled on the settee

6ºC - bit drizzly but calm after yesterday which got very windy.

Damp and grey.  The rain has eased off but everything is sopping wet out there.

Also grey and soggy here and none too warm either. More duvet days than not lately.

Same here, but mild as well. Same response from Mollycat, when I opened the door

Another damp, grey, drizzly day the same as yesterday. Had torrential rain overnight starting as soon as it got dark with winds that lashed it onto every window of the house!

Not nice either here although we did have a dry spell about lunch time for a couple of hours.

Cold and damp here as well! Going to warm up tonight  with a few (lots)drops of whisky this evening.
