Title: Here come the adverts...
Post by: Growster... on November 01, 2023, 17:09
In time honoured way, we never discuss which seasonal adverts are around for another month!

This gets 0/10 here...

I've seen a few today, Three times now the Asda one with Mickey Bubble, he also appears in the paper with his  Asda badge on.   This Morning did a 'best toys they'll want for 'then'' item.   It's always the same, as soon as Halloween is over, the rush till then starts, puts me off a bit as the celebration always then seems a bit of let down after all the build up.

Well, at least they're selling Cheese Footballs in our local Tesco!

That's a plus in anyone's book!

I loathe adverts at the best of times and yell various epithets to the makers who think we can be taken in by their inane content. Must have missed the festive ones - I am so blest!

Local Facebook is full of Makers' Markets (the home handicrafts crew) getting their dates out in public. Thing is - unless there's a solution to the area 12 week long wie area bus strike, there'll likely be a shortage of customers. If we ever sort out the transport situation most people will be catching up with more important things I suspect.

We've got fire-works night to come before Christmas -  That I really do dislike.   Mrs Bouquet

Quite agree, Mrs B!

Our dog is petrified by the hideous racket made by fireworks! She hides right under my desk, and even further round the back and I've often had to crawl under there with her to try and stop her shaking, which is a bit of a challenge...
