Thinking of bringing a few plants indoors already, its so cold in the mini gh already I'm sure they'd prefer my south facing window sills

I did that last year - the chillies ripened in record time.  :)

and then I killed them...

My chillis are in grow bags... does anyone know if they can be transplanted into pots to bring inside, or are they susceptible to root disturbance? The Numex Twilight are going great guns, and are small enough to go on a window-sill, I reckon.

Worth a go I would have thought, though I haven't tried it. I have potted several into bigger pots in a bare-root fashion and none have died.

No I don't think they're tricky.

I wondered down the greenhouse today and I notice that I'm getting black mould spores on things. This emanates from the sycamores above  >:(

A job for the next week then. There are loads of chillis on my golden cayenne also, but they're not ripening very well, they seem to be getting attacked by earwigs, and they are way too tall to put on a windowsill....

my birds eye plants are doing well now but my cayenne, shakira and scotch bonnets are all still green and to big to bring indoors, they are all in my pollytunnel at the moment.

I really cut down on watering them at this time of year. the greenhouses can still get pretty warm during the day and I find a bit of stress can get them maturing faster. in any case green chilli sauce is a favourite here so nothing gets wasted.

Well, the replanted chillis (numex twilight) are doing fab in the conservatory. Loads more flowers coming, and the existing chillis ripening well and hot.
