Blackberry mead recipe?

Does anyone have a recipe for a medium sweetness blackberry mead that would make one gallon? We have so many blackberries that I am thinking about doing a gallon each of wine and mead after MrsSpudTheBinx has made 10ld or so of bramble jelly.

You say One gallon of blackberry mead, then say a gallon each of wine and mead. Which one?

Flavoured meads are termed Melomel, just in case you try a google search.

Basis of Blackcurrent melomel is:
4 lb blackcurrants, 1/2pt red grape juice, 2lb honey, water to make 1 gal.
I would say it is blackcurrant wine using honey instead of sugar.

The raspberry melomel recipe is similar.

Must say I would have expected 3lbs of honey not 2.

Thanks for the recipe. I am making a gallon of wine and a gallon of mead, but only needed a mead recipe. I know it's called melomel when it uses fruit, but most people refer to all fermented honey drinks as mead so thought I would have more success asking for just that

Is the red grape juice called for in the recipe concetrate?

Yep, it is red grape concentrate.

I didn't give the exact list of ingredients as not sure how accurately you follow, Just in case:

4 lb blackcurrents,
1/2 pt red grape concentrate,
2 lbs Honey,
Nutrients,
Bordeaux yeast,
1/4oz malic acid,
Water to 1 gallon.

The red current version has 5 lb redcurrents, the raspberry version is 4 lb.
