As mentioned in a previous post me chooks squiffy top beak disapeared over night!

She seems fine eating, drinking and preening should it worry me, as I was going to file it anyway (just not so harshly).

Your thoughts, tips and advice is as ever greatfully received!

Hi Paul.
Is your chook an ex-bat?
I've seen a piccy similar to this on the 'down the lane' forum. Someone there had an ex-bat that looked like it was whistling all the time. Aparently she'd damaged it while she was caged.
So far as her new owner was concerned, if she could eat and preen herself she was ok.

I hope it's nothing more than that  :?

Found it - check 'down the Lane' forum, and look for a person called 'melons' (moderator) She has a piccy of her hen with her name on her posts.
I've not signed up to the forum, but I've read the posts from time to time.

She looks a right poser in front of the camera so it obviously doesn't bother her !!

she looks OK - as long the beak is dry -ie no evidence of a wound or fungal looking she should be fine.

just use a nail file to take the sharp edges off try rounding the sides only
