Look what just popped out!!! Ahhh I'm so excited. My first ever baby chickie! After my two hens turned broodie I stuck some fertilized eggs under them...it was so sweet, they shared them...sometimes one would have 5 and the other just 1... then they'd have 3 each. Now one has hatched and they're sharing the chick!! (which I wasn't expecting).

Any ideas what it might be? It's probably a Heinz 57, but sooooo exciting, now comes the tough part....naming it!

I quite like the name Bournville, but the kids arn't impressed!

I must admit until mine lays an egg it goes unnamed. Daughter would be very upset if little daisy became dinner... saying that she wouldn't want little boris to become dinner either.

omg tht is actually so cute!! has it got a frizzle mummy and a buff orp mummy? how very cosmopolitan!

Yep it jumps around ontop of the frizzle pekin mums back and sleeps under the buff orpingtons wing...so cute. Another one hatched today, seems as though frizzle does the initial hatching then share duties from then on
