Oh dear, am expecting trouble now!!!
« on: February 22, 2011, 20:03 »
My next door neighbour's fence came down during the gales a few weeks ago.  I went out and repaired it as best I could but today Cilla found a way in and trashed the garden.  Luckily it's mostly bark chips and fancy slabs in the middle but boy, what a mess she made.   Think she might have broken a few ornaments too but will try and blame the wind for that.  This is the girl that comes running and shouts at me for treats.  Could I catch her? Not a chance.  So, ended up climbing back over broken fence and got the mealworms out, 2 seconds later, she was back where she should be.  Am now going to have to section off the garden asap instead of waiting til summer.  I am now dreading tomorrows mess.   :tongue2:

She didnt say a word??? Err, well, to me anyway.  This is the woman that was telling everyone that she was going to the Council about the noise before I even got the girls (had them 3 weeks before she noticed they were there) Maybe she was happy to get her garden swept and tidied for her.  :D  :D

Well, she did it again today, so the garden now has a make shift fence sort of running down the middle but kind of going at an angle so that the chicks can still get to the rabbit hutches.  It's a bit of an eye sore but couldn't deny them their morning charge down to see what the rabbits had kicked out.  :D  :D

If it's her fence, you could ask her to repair it in order to protect your birds!  :tongue2:

Or maybe just deliver a half dozen eggs when you can as compensation? She should be grateful it wasn't the rabbits digging up her beds and lawn....

Did you get pics?

Oh no!  She did it again?  There's just something about that grass being greener on the other side!  ;)
When I die I will slide in sideways, a glass of wine in one hand and chocolate in the other, screaming, "Whooo hooo!  What a ride!" as life is to be enjoyed to the fullest!

Except she doesn't have grass!! Just slabs (half of which I gave her) bark and lots of Gnomes and plastic ornaments.  Make shift fence is working well so far though.  :D  :D

How about giving her a concrete hen to sit on the slabs then she'll just think she's got problems when she sees double & it's moving!!

Er Wot?  Were they singing the Frog Chorus at 6 in the morning?  How can anyone complain about Frogs? (unless they were invading her kitchen and turned into massive Kermits and took all their pals along)
