hi, i have just watched gardeners world and carol kline was taking cuttings, is it so easy as she makes out i have a greenhouse to put them in or is it best to leave out in the shade. regards archie

Think the greenhouse would be to hot this time of year. I would put them in partial sunlight out of the wind and heavy rain. I use a cold frame with a bit of shelter over it but with the lid open.
"Your first job is to prepare the soil.  The best tool for this is your neighbor's motorized garden tiller.  If your neighbor does not own a garden tiller, suggest that he buy one."
