Good morning samuria, a physical barrier is what you need.  A few years ago I obtained some sheets of thick white plastic to reflect the sun in my greenhouse.  It sounds to that this is what you need, sunk into the ground - deep deep deep!

Cheers,  Tony.
I may be growing OLD, but I refuse to grow UP !

You will only be able to lawfully buy a product for the amateur market.

I recently bought Gallup Home and Garden weedkiller - it's a concentrate which dilute and spray on.  Or you could look at brushwood / stump removal chemicals.
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...

Brake Fluid which contains diethylene glycol should not be used.  It is poisonous to animals (including humans) and causes kidney damage.

Hello under no circumstances use brake fluid or any other car related products it's a fine able offence  by the Environment agency ,use SBK brushwood killer mixed at the maximum rate   50 millimeters of product to a litre of water either spray it on or water it on do not allow it to run into any water course ,spraying easier once theres regrowth about 2 inches high just wet the leaves    jezza

Another vote for SBK.   It is good stuff for really tough plants that laugh at normal weedkiller.

talking to a chap at his allotment this morning, and he uses
rock salt on his paths and anywhere he does not want weeds and growth. told me to just add hot water and put in my sprayer. or spread some on the weeds  as is, anyone here tried this
kind of thing

Salting the fields was an old trick to make sure your defeated enemy was too busy trying not to starve to start on you again, so I would be careful with that one

SBK goes quite a long way if you buy the concentrate and dilute it yourself.  Jezza was right about strimming everything off and just treating the regrowth at a couple of inches tall.  That means minimum product needed and everything down at ground level, where it is much safer to spray  :)
