Hi

I'm holding a "do" in the garden in two weeks, and as the lawn was knackered from chickens and dogs decided to re-seed it.  It will be two weeks this Sunday and I put a lot of seed down.  I'm worried because parts of it have not even even germinated yet.  We've watered well and of course there's been lots of sunshine.  I know it's not going to be ready in two weeks, but is there something that I can do to help it along?  Can I feed it or something?

Any help would be appreciated.

The first thing to consider is,  did you plant the seeds the right way up?  The second is to go and get 'me coat' !

I do think you have left it a bit late to expect a good lawn before your do.  Then you will subject it to all forms of footware.   You could pray for rain so your stuck in the house ! ! !    Cheers,   Tony.

Noooooo, the sun must shine, as I have 50 people coming  and they won't fit in the house!

I'm afraid if some of the seeds haven't germinated, feeding won't help those ones. Fingers crossed your combination of sunshine, temperature and watering will cause it all to grow soon. I fear that it still won't be that strong and well established in two weeks time though.....
