Off to bed so thought I'd drop in and say good morning to those early risers.

Hope your day is a good one and the weather treats you warmly.

My goodness Paul you are really a night owl aren't you, have you always preferred to be up at night or is it left from caring for your parents?

I like late evenings as it's quiet - a great time to read or watch a movie without interruption but my late nights are an ingrained habit. Years and years of late-night marking, planning and paperwork.....then six years of caring...

The other night I spent ages writing and re-writing a letter to my dear sister... 3 months of waiting for her to sign and return completed probate and inheritance tax forms... Not the easiest person to communicate with.:( Several coffees later... Sleep was out of the question.

In summer and autumn I love the peace and quiet outside on very late evenings. Orange coloured flowers can look amazing.... glowing. Camping out and clear fresh night air with sparkling star filled skies... those were the days.

I love very early summer mornings too... Can't have it all

Turned 60 and more often in bed by 1am these days then I try to read but soon give up....... I could (nearly) always sleep for England once my head hit the pillow.

You're more than welcome to apply and membership would be guaranteed in your case, but I hope that application isn't necessary and your sleeping habits soon improve

You'd be more than welcome - it's a drop in group so no need to get up early on a regular basis :)

I fall in when my book is boring, I still can't sleep.... often thinking 10 to the dozen in the early hours so look in to see if anyone else is about.

Here I am again then, nothing on the tele apart from channels that I'm not allowed to watch.
Kettle is on and a ginger biscuit awaits dunking.

I would far sooner have stayed in bed this morning but.... as I wasn't sleeping, the cat was making me too hot, the room was warm and Mrs P was away with the fairies so I was having a brew at just after 4.

Cooler on the ground floor...

Read a book, plan the next part of the aviary extension or make a list of the seed packets I am gathering in and adding to?

I think the book wins for now.

Morning everyone!!  :)

Good morning all (if anyone is up)

A relatively warm night so I can't sleep any longer....... even the cat has chosen the floor to snooze on.
Quiet out, no wind or rain so maybe a good day ahead. Here's hoping.

Morning all,
It's getting noticeably lighter in the mornings every day at this time of year .... I think of it a bit like a pendulum, the pendulum (dawn time) moves faster at the bottom (spring / autumn equinox) than it does at the end of it's travel (winter/summer solstice)

Quiet bright mornings and evenings are lovely when there's been a belt of sunshine in between.

Glorious here for much of the day.

(No dog to walk but I do wander over the road to open up the aviary every morning and to check the veg patch.)

Morning all, been up a couple of hours now and thought of saying hello as I have been mooching on here for a while.
Trying to build up the strength to go to the plot soon, just to see what it's like. Might even go to the potting shed later today, just to see what I can start off.

The weather's warming and daylight hours lengthening....so I wish you luck with the beginning of your plotting trips.

It's me again.... not light yet and I am considering going off for a long snooze having been up for hours making the best of the peace and quiet.

Paper-work done and ready for a trip to the post office in the morning.

Here's hoping the day ahead is a warm and successful one for everyone.
