hi ya i put a row of carrot seed in ten days ago, not a sign of anything, does the root fly attack the young shoots or the seed, the seed does not seem to of germinated at all, any expert carrot growers on here that could give me the answers to growing at least one row of carrotts................pete

Root fly does not attack seed.

After just 10 days, I'd be giving them a bit more time. Keep them moist.

im exactly the same put some seeds in just over a week ago and get really disappointed every day i go and see theres no sign of anything even though the havent really been in long

As DD said --- a bit soon for them to have out their heads up

But don't forget to cover them with enviromesh or similar as soon as they do
