Ants

I have some ants in the poly which are eating everything. I have read about citrus oil or clove oil. Will this harm the crops if sprayed onto them?

I doubt it will harm them but do you really want everything tasting of oil of cloves?  :ohmy:
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...

Get a couple of ant traps. That should sort the problem. :D

Are they like mouse traps, but much much smaller? And what would you bait them with, cheese, ham or aphids?
I started out with nothing.....and I've still got most of it.

Ants don't actually eat plants, but they can cause root disturbance with their nests  :ohmy:

So it could be something else eating the plants. Me entire bed of spring onions has been wiped out. Looked like they were sliced up with a razor!

The sliced up onions could be the result of the larvae of leek moths which attack anything in the onion family. The larvae like to tunnel into plant stems as in the pix here
