Post by: jondav on October 09, 2012, 19:59
Picked a lettuce from my tunnel today, lurking underneath was a big fat toad.I left it just where it was,I think i,m right in saying, that toads just love to eat all kinds of bugs and slugs,he,s welcome to stay as long as he likes.

I used to have a greenhouse.... well I still have one but its now full of car parts.... but I digress (yet again) when it was all up and running for 3 years I have problems with slugs then one day a toad moved in, and to encourage him I built his a shelter and a very small (size of a pot) pond so he had water..... slugs were never a problem after that, but he seemed to return year after year, and I ended up with 4 of them
